Zinga Presbytery<\/h2>\n

The Eastern Province presbytery named in 2014 to preserve the historical connection with the first Protestant mission activity at Zinga in 1907.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n

Historical background and location<\/h2>\n

The EPR profile identifies Zinga Village, in Cyanya Cell, Kigabiro Sector, Rwamagana District, as the location where missionaries from the German Bethel Mission began Protestant mission activity in Rwanda in August 1907. The missionaries later moved to the Southern Province. During the Church centenary in 2007, EPR and Bethel Mission participants remembered Zinga and agreed to renew the presence there through a chapel and primary school.<\/p>\n

When EPR restructured 17 former regions into seven presbyteries in 2014, the Eastern Presbytery was named Zinga to recall this history. The head office is listed in Bigabiro Village, Cyanya Cell, Kigabiro Sector, Rwamagana District, Eastern Province.<\/p>\n
