Background and geographical coverage

The detailed EPR profile states that Gisenyi Presbytery was established by the 46th ordinary session of the EPR General Synod, held in Kigali from 10 to 14 March 2014, and that it has juridical personality. The head office is in Gikarani Village, Nengo Cell, Gisenyi Sector, Rubavu District, Western Province.

The source describes an area of activity across seven districts: Rubavu, Nyabihu, Rutsiro and Ngororero in Western Province, and Musanze, Burera and Gakenke in Northern Province.
